At Falabella India, we believe opportunity grows when people come together.

Through the TYDE (Transformational Youth Development Engagement) program with our CSR partner School Foundation, we’re supporting students on their journey toward job readiness through mentoring, academic guidance, and career support. As part of the initiative, our volunteers are mentoring students over the next few months, offering academic guidance, project support, and career mentoring through meaningful, one-on-one engagement each month.

During their visit to our office, students joined learning sessions led by Perez Katpitia (Director, Human Resources) on the campus-to-corporate transition, and Pramath Nath (Director, Finance, Tax & Compliance) and Lohit V (Lead, Financial Analyst), who shared practical insights on basic financial management, along with open interactions with our teams.

What an energizing week at Falabella India!

Last week, we hosted our global leaders, Leonardo Di Nucci (CIO, Falabella Group), Ariel Schabas (CTO, Digital Commerce & CIO Dept. Stores), Fernando Oviedo (CTO, Stores & Merchandising & CIO, Home Improvement), Raúl Vera (CIO, Banco Falabella), and Daniel Arancibia (Head of Customer Experience), for four days of collaboration, learning, and forward-looking conversations.

From deep dives into strengthening AI as a core capability to discussions on the future of retail and our path toward open banking, the sessions spanned technology innovation, ecosystem partnerships, and next-generation customer experiences. These conversations reinforced our shared vision of how AI-led platforms will power smarter, more connected, and more personalized retail ecosystems.

We wrapped up the week with a high-energy town hall featuring key business updates and a preview of what 2026 holds for us, including how embedding AI at the heart of our capabilities will accelerate our open banking ambitions and shape what’s next.

In our latest edition, we dived deep into Hybrid Search, a technique that combines traditional keyword-based methods like BM25 with vector embeddings to deliver smarter, more relevant results.

From exploring traditional vs semantic search, to understanding embedding models, and how Ranked Retrieval Fusion (RRF) bridges the gap between precision and semantic understanding, this was a masterclass in making AI practical and powerful for real-world search systems.

In the latest edition, our Senior Director, Data Analytics, Abhijith Neerkaje took the stage to unpack the fast-emerging world of Agentic AI and how to move from experimenting with AI agents to delivering real business impact, unpacking:

IGNITE is an 8-month leadership journey crafted for professionals aspiring to transition from individual contributors to inspiring leaders.

Our first cohort of 12 professionals embarked on this journey, built around the 3E model of learning:
✅ Education with sessions like storytelling, effective communication & presentation skills, finance for non-finance professionals, and leadership transition from tech expert to tech leader.
✅ Experience in real-life case studies, peer learning, and hands-on assignments.
✅ Exposure through exclusive sessions with senior leaders sharing practical wisdom and real-world insights.

The program concluded last week with a reflection session, where participants shared their growth stories, leaders offered mentorship, and we celebrated success in true Falabella style, with learning, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

An afternoon that captured the spirit of growth, ambition, and togetherness!

Our Q2 Townhall was a high-energy celebration of everything Falabella India stands for, bold visions, inspiring leadership, and the incredible strength of our people.

We were delighted to have Ariel Schabas, CTO, Digital Commerce & CIO, Falabella Retail, join us live from Chile, early morning his time!

It was also a significant moment as Arpana chopra, our new MD, addressed the team for the very first time. With clarity and conviction, she laid out a compelling vision for the road ahead, driven by innovation, impact, and inclusive growth.

We were equally excited to welcome Ashish Grover back to the India office in his new role as Technical Advisor, a true homecoming we’re all looking forward to!

From a vibrant Mexican feast to engaging business updates and heartfelt recognition, the energy in the room was electric. We celebrated our wins, spotlighted our people, reflected on how Falabella’s tech excellence is gaining recognition across global markets, and the heartfelt messages from our Chile team were just the cherry on top.

A big thank you to Nicolás Ignacio Casablanca Bannura, Maria Ignacia Leon Ross, Francisco José Ponce de León Pollman, Carlos Contador Salah, and Juan Molina y Vedia for being part of the afternoon virtually.

In a heartfelt step toward environmental stewardship, 40 volunteers from Falabella India came together for a Vetiver Plantation Drive, part of the Bund Reinforcement Program, at the stunning 100-acre Turahalli State Forest.

This initiative was more than just planting, it was about building resilience. The drive took place beside our newly revitalized water body, created as part of a larger effort to establish a water catchment area within the reserve. The objective was to provide a reliable water source for wild animals, recharge the groundwater table, and enhance the forest’s biodiversity.

Vetiver grass, known for its deep-root system, will now help strengthen the bund, prevent soil erosion, and conserve water, each vital for sustaining this delicate ecosystem.

A big shoutout to our incredible CSR Coordinator , her passionate team, the amazing team at , and the dedicated forest officials who made this initiative seamless and impactful. And most importantly, heartfelt thanks to every volunteer who rolled up their sleeves, got their hands muddy, and made a difference.

At Falabella, we care for the future, and this plantation drive is a beautiful reflection of that value in action.

Learning never stops at Falabella India. We’re always looking for ways to keep our curious minds active and engaged and what better way than diving into the hottest topic of the hour: AI.

To help our teams stay in sync with this ever-evolving space, we’ve kickstarted a series of Brown Bag Sessions, a casual peer-learning platform where teams come together every two weeks to share, learn, and grow through bite-sized insights and hands-on experiences.

For our first session, Sushant Kumar took us through , a framework that bridges the gap for Java developers to implement powerful AI features without jumping into a new language like Python.

It was an insightful kick-off into the world of AI, and we’re just getting started.

We kicked off our first Town Hall of the year with a mix of reflection, recognition, and readiness.
