Some of the common use case for regression is in predicting the value of a continuous variable based on other variables.
For example, a real estate company may want to use regression to predict the sale price of a house based on factors such as its size, location, and number of bedrooms.
Another example could be a pharmaceutical company using regression to predict the effectiveness of a new drug based on factors such as patient age, weight, and preexisting conditions.
