This will allow people to find and connect with fellow community members and reap benefits. Along with categorically listing the businesses, the CEC also provides opportunities to businesses and individuals to "partner" and expand or start new businesses.

More than 100 people with Kodagu roots and other concerned Bengalureans gathered at Cubbon Park in Bengaluru today to decide further action against the proposed Thalassery to Mysuru railway line passing through Kodagu, and also the Mysuru to Madikeri railway line via Kushalnagar.

Congress leader Brijesh Kalappa and environment activist Nirad Muthanna addressed the crowd which had activists from Mangalore and Chikmagaluru as well. Major General Kodandera Arjun Muthanna and hockey Olympian A B Subbaiah were also present. In the meeting it was decided to form a committee for tackling the issue.

The Mandh Namme organised by Team UKO at Bekke Sodlur on the 17th of January 2016 helped CEC kick start the publicity campaign. The objective behind forming the group was explained and was received with a lot of enthusiasm by the people who visited the Namme. A signature campaign was conducted and people of all age groups signed up and committed to conduct their business with fellow Kodavas.

CEC aims to tap into the hospitable nature of our people, to find ways to help each other grow economically and become a well bonded community. The primary aim of the CEC is to encourage members to conduct business with fellow Kodavas and foster mutual growth. The CEC also aims to nurture and provide a platform to interested youngsters and new entrepreneurs to achieve success in their business ventures, by including best practices followed by business owners who have already excelled in their fields.
