Refrigeration Process:
The refrigerant absorbs large amounts of heat before turning into a v***r in the ev***rator. This is called latent heat, because it does not change the temperature of the liquid refrigerant, the heat is just absorbed until v***rization takes place. After that any additional heat absorbed is called sensible heat, because the v***r then increases in temperature.(also called superheat in refrigeration) It's this absorbing of latent heat and the corresponding rejection of it in the condensing coil that makes refrigeration work.
