I just wrapped up a self-initiated sprint: a complete end-to-end UX/UI reimagining of Anyo for Wellness.wellness. I wanted to see if I could take a high-utility health app and transform it into an empathetic, "Serene" digital companion.

A wellness app shouldn't feel like a medical form.
So I build one which tracks steps, hydration, calories, sleep — and your menstrual cycle — all inside a UI that feels like a spa, not a clinic.
The design system is built on Stitch's Serene Aura theme. But here's the honest part: I had to extend it. The base theme wasn't built for encoding four clinically distinct menstrual phases into a single screen.
So I created a cycle phase extension — each phase gets its own color token, grounded in what that phase actually means physiologically: — Menstruation → muted red (no harsh signals) — Follicular → tint of primary green (energy, growth) — Ovulation → DS secondary container (the most significant event, treated that way) — Luteal → warm amber (progesterone warmth)
85% DS compliant. The 15% deviation was intentional — and documented.
This is what design with intention looks like. 💜

Onboarding is the "handshake" of an app. 🤝
I recently designed a fitness and menstrual cycle tracker where the priority was reducing cognitive load during the setup phase. By using progressive disclosure and a soft visual palette, I aimed to make the data-entry process feel intuitive and personal.
