iPhones That Will Get iOS 26
If your iPhone has an A13 chip or newer, you're in luck. Apple has confirmed these models will support iOS 26.

To make room for the new features, Apple is ending software support for a few older devices. If you have one of the following iPhones, you won't be able to update to iOS 26.

Apple Releases iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 With Numerous Bug Fixes and Improvements

iOS 14.1 includes improvements and bug fixes for your iPhone.
● Adds support for 10-bit HDR video playback and edit in Photos for iPhone 8 and later
● Addresses an issue where some widgets, folders, and icons were showing up in reduced size on the Home Screen
● Addresses an issue where dragging widgets on the Home Screen could remove apps from folders
● Fixes an issue where some emails in Mail were sent from an incorrect alias
● Fixes an issue that could prevent incoming calls from displaying region information
● Fixes an issue on some devices where selecting zoomed display mode and an alphanumeric passcode could result in the Lock Screen emergency call button overlapping with the text input box
● Addresses an issue where some users were occasionally unable to download or add songs to their library while viewing an album or playlist
● Fixes an issue that could prevent zeroes from appearing in Calculator
● Resolves an issue where streaming video resolution could temporarily be reduced at the start of playback
● Fixes an issue that prevented setting up a family member’s Apple Watch for some users
● Resolves an issue where the Apple Watch case material was displayed incorrectly in the Apple Watch app
● Addresses an issue in the Files app that could cause some MDM-managed cloud service providers to incorrectly display content as unavailable
● Improves compatibility with Ubiquiti wireless access points

Apple has officially announced a special event today at which the company will likely unveil its new iPhone 12 smartphones.

The digital only event is set to take place at Apple Park on October 13, 2020 at 10 a.m. PDT. Apple's press invite reads, "Hi, Speed. Please join us for a special Apple Event from Apple Park. Watch it online at apple.com."

Recent reports have predicted that Apple will release its next generation iPhones in two stages with the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro arriving first. The company is expected to launch four new models this year including a lower end 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini and 6.1-inch iPhone 12, as well as higher end 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max models. Foxconn's production lines are reportedly running 24 hours a day to produce enough units for launch.

One tentpole feature of the iPhone 12 will be 5G support. It's rumored that all four models will support Sub-6GHz 5G service but just the iPhone 12 Pro Max will get millimeter-wave 5G and only in three countries. The new iPhones are also expected to feature an iPad Pro like design with flat edges, a faster A14 processor, camera improvements including LiDAR, and more. It's possible that that Apple will not include a power adapter or EarPods in the box. The new iPhone is still expected to use a Lightning port but will apparently come with a new braided Lightning to USB-C cable.
