Numbers don't lie. Here is what happened when we deployed SmartSense in a rural cellular site serving 2,000 to 3,000 people in Central Africa.
The operator was already running 2G and 3G over GEO - stable, reliable, proven.
We added LEO to the same site and activated 4G. The network routed automatically: 2G and 3G stayed on GEO, 4G ran on LEO. No manual intervention. No disruption to existing service.
Over 4TB increase in user data consumption over 4G network in the first month in one site.
For the operator, this meant more revenue, higher data usage per subscriber, and a meaningfully better experience for every person on that network.
This is what multi-orbit looks like when it leaves the lab and goes live. More soon.
