At Cisco Live in Las Vegas, I had the opportunity to witness some game-changing advancements from Cisco that promise to reshape our industry. Reflecting on my role as the Security and Cyber Division Manager at One Security, I see a kindred spirit in Cisco's relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence in technology and security.
Here's a rundown of the major highlights:
1. **Cisco Networking Cloud**: This platform is impressive with its seamless integration of data, AI, security, control, and infrastructure. It simplifies operations, ensures end-to-end security, and enhances digital experiences with AI-driven insights. It's a tool that makes our job of managing complex networks not just easier but more efficient and secure.
2. **Cisco and Splunk**: The acquisition of Splunk is a major leap forward. By combining Cisco's network data with Splunk's security and observability solutions, we now have a robust toolset for creating new revenue streams through high-value services. The integration of Cisco XDR and Splunk SIEM is particularly exciting, promising to deliver even greater value and profitability.
3. **Cisco Partner AI Opportunity**: AI is where the future is headed, and Cisco is positioning us to capture this wave. They are providing the infrastructure and tools to power AI applications and workflows responsibly. The AI Fundamentals training is a great starting point to get up to speed with Cisco’s AI strategy, something that aligns perfectly with our drive for innovation at One Security.
4. **Cisco Hypershield**: This security solution is revolutionary. It protects modern applications with a new distributed architecture that integrates network and workload enforcement points. The dual dataplane approach for software and policy updates is a game-changer, allowing us to test on live traffic without operational risks. It's security embedded at every level, from servers to clouds, making it an invaluable asset for any security manager.

This event reinforced the notion that together, with the right partners and tools, we can achieve unparalleled security and operational excellence.
