ועידת פודיס.

טוב, סתם צחקתי ...

כנס ה- ERP לשנת 2018 , מאורגן על ידי אנשים ומחשבים. בלאגו.

הגעתי מוקדם לפני הפקקים וכך גם תפסתי מקום חניה קרוב כבונוס.

בפנים, אנשים עדיין סידרו את הדוכנים שלהם.

מלצריות צעירות, יפות וקודרות מבט סיירו במתחם - מתכוננות לאירוע משעמם נוסף שגם משלם שכר מינימום.

קהל ה- ERP החל לזרום פנימה, מביט במגשים הטעימים והמאורגנים יפה. גם להם היה מראה עגום - מוחם האנליטי מתפקע מרוב חישובי קלוריות.

הלכתי אל בר הקפה, לקחתי לעצמי קפה ועוגה קטנה והתיישבתי לכתוב לכם את המלים האלה.

הגיע זמן ההרצאות ואני התמקדתי בערוץ ה ERP ובמוצר הסקסי והחדש
SAP By Design

נראה באמת מוצר מדליק (טוב, במושגים של מע' מידע...). אז שוחחתי עם מנהל המוצר ומספר שותפים - תמיד טוב להכיר את הנפשות הפועלות.
אולי יצא מזה ביזנס, אף פעם אי אפשר לדעת.

כל שאר המציגים של מוצרי ERP נשמעו כמו אוסף של תוכים צבעוניים שחזרו על אותם מנטרות: ענן, ענן, ענן...דיגיטל, דיגיטל, דיגיטל... גמישות...שלנו הכי הכי...

עזבתי את מתחם ההרצאה וישבתי, כמו רבים וטובים, לעיין בטלפון.

סוף סוף הגיע החלק החשוב של ארוחת הצהריים, שהייתה על הכיפק (תסלחו לי - אני לא אנין טעם)...
כעת הגיע שלב האקסיט. יצאתי טוב לב והפלגתי צפונה כאשר וויז מראה עדיין זמן נסיעה סביר. כך רשמתי עוד יום של התחמקות מוצלחת מפקקים.

Foodies convention.

Just kidding...

2018 ERP convention by People and Computers.

Got there early beating the traffic and also got a great parking spot as a bonus.

Inside, people were still arranging their booths.

Gloomy looking young beautiful waitress patrol the area getting ready for another boring event which pays minimum wage.

The ERP crowd started flowing in, looking at the tasty trays of nicely organized food. They also had a gloomy look - calculating calories, I presume...

I went to the coffee bar, got myself coffee and a tiny piece of cake and sat down to write these words for you.

It was time for lectures and I focused on the ERP channel and the new s*x product - SAP By Design

Really looks like a cool product (well, in terms of IT...). So I talked to the product manager and a number of partners - it's always good to get to know the people involved.
Maybe some business will come out of it, you never know.

All the other exhibitors of ERP products sounded like a collection of colorful parrots repeating the same mantras: cloud, cloud, cloud ... digital, digital, digital ... flexible ... our is the best...

I left the lecture area and sat, like many good people, to review my phone.

Finally came the important part of lunch, which was great as far as I am concerned (excuse me - I'm not a foodie, I am usually quite satisfied with reasonable food) ...
Now the exit bit has arrived. I left good-hearted and headed north while Waze still showing a reasonable driving time.

Thus, I recorded another day of successful evasion from traffic and got home in good time to rest before the evening Mondial games.

Can't blame you for thinking that Data Science, Machine Learning, and even more so, Artificial intelligence is science fiction.

Sounds a bit like Autonomic Electric Cars, isn't it? We sort of realize that these Cars will probably come in the future.
However, when we head to drive on to work we only see gasoline hungry cars driven by these stupid carbon based creatures who perform so bad on the road...

Still, both are coming and even coming faster and faster every day!
So, you better watch out and prepare !

Another thing that happened; the worst nerds who could never get a decent date - Statisticians - have become the Holly Grail of AI.
Now, we call them 'Data Scientist' and all the big guys are paying top top $ to get them... :)

Attending a conference on:
Innovation in digital manufacturing and product life cycle management SEP/12/2017. At the new SAP house in Ra'anana.

This fascinating conference described the directions to which SAP is focusing not only on digital manufacturing but also on the overall digital revolution taking place these days.

SAP is said to be currently investing 2b$ in the the overall digital revolution.

It feels really dizzying. The sky is the limit, and the organization that will look farther and faster will increase its chances of survival against the tsunami of innovation.

SAP, with the help of partners, built a digital factory for POC. It was nice to hear that an initiative that began as a temporary event for a conference actually turns into a kind of lab for a digital factory that constantly works on its refinement.

התארחתי בבית סאפ החדש ביום עיון בנושא:
חדשנות בייצור דיגיטלי וניהול מחזור חיי המוצר SEP/12/2017

הכנס המרתק תיאר את הכיוונים אליהם סאפ מכוונת לא רק בנושא ייצור אלא בכלל בנושא המהפיכה הדיגיטאלית המתרחשת ממש בימים אלו.

התחושה ממש מסחררת. השמיים הם הגבול, והארגון שיראה רחוק יותר ומהר יותר יגדיל את סיכויי ההישרדות שלו מול צונאמי החדשנות.

סאפ בנתה, בסיוע שותפים, מפעל דיגיטאלי לצורך POC. היה נחמד לשמוע שיוזמה שהתחילה כמשהוא זמני לרגל כנס הופכת למעשה למין מעבדה למפעל דיגיטאלי שכל הזמן עובדים על שכלולו.
