What if the next person managing AI agents… isn’t a manager? 😏

That’s one of the more interesting ideas in a recent article in Fortune by Keith Ferrazzi and Wendy K. Smith.

The article points to a future that changes more than productivity, but changes who manages, what they manage, and where accountability sits.

87% of developers say AI helps them ship faster. So why are 72% still struggling with the same or even more friction? 😉

Atlassian's 2026 State of Developer Experience report reveals an uncomfortable contradiction: more -generated work doesn't necessarily mean better software delivery.

And the biggest problem may have very little to do with coding.

We've collected numbers from the original article that every and engineering leader should consider.

AI follows the incentives.☝️

And today, unfortunately, those incentives often reward more billable activity—not better patient outcomes.

Maybe with stronger evidence, redesigned workflows, and outcome-based payments, AI could expand access, reduce costs, and give doctors more time for patients.

Will AI improve healthcare—or simply automate what is already broken? 🫡

Mobile apps are not dead. But the way users reach them is changing.

If AI agents start comparing, booking, ordering, updating, and searching across for us, the app icon may no longer be the first step.
That changes the job of a mobile product.

It is no longer only about a clean UI or smooth onboarding.
Your app also needs to become a service layer an AI agent can understand, trust, and use.

Will your app be ready when AI becomes the new front door?

🫡 Europe cannot afford to stop AI.

Germany’s message is clear☝: halting development is not a viable option. Europe needs innovation to protect its digital sovereignty.

But here’s the uncomfortable part: AI systems can break out of test environments and access other systems on their own as “an entirely new threat scenario.”

So the real debate is not: Should we slow AI down?
It is: How do we keep building powerful AI without pretending the old safety playbook is enough? 😌

58% of companies say managers don’t recognize often enough because they simply don’t have the bandwidth. ☝

If we keep asking managers to drive performance, build engagement, develop people, clarify priorities, and “support the team” — then we face the overload.

👉 This week in Inc.’s article by Marcel Schwantes notes that companies with highly effective recognition programs are 4.5x more likely to report increased revenue or profit margins.

So recognition is not just “nice culture.” It is a business system.

Your customers🚶‍♂️ didn't stop paying attention.
They stopped paying attention to you 🥁

That's the uncomfortable idea behind Gary Vaynerchuk's Day Trading Attention.
Marketing teams spend enormous energy asking what to post, how often to post, and which campaign to launch next.

Gary asks a more useful question: Where is attention undervalued right now?

One more exellent thought don't become loyal to channels. Become obsessed with where attention is moving.

For marketers, , and , that's probably the most useful lesson in the book.

Because the expensive marketing channel everyone is fighting over today may simply be yesterday's underpriced attention.

Lets discuss the best channel for in comments? 😏

☝ One “auto-close” button can turn AI assistance into a much bigger compliance conversation.

When AI starts changing regulated records—not merely suggesting what to do—the efficiency gain may come with new questions about accountability, traceability, and regulatory obligations.

In this week's Tech TL DR, we explore a practical rule for compliance workflows: AI proposes; a trained human reviews, approves, and signs.

Inside: the technical controls, QMS procedures, audit logs, emergency exceptions, and evidence auditors may expect when AI assistance begins to look like autonomous action.

Based on the original article by Priya Nair , published on DEV Community.

Where has your organization drawn the line between AI assistance and AI action?

By 2030, AI could automate 80% of project management tasks. But the remaining 20% may decide whether the project succeeds.

What should stay under human control? Mary Shacklett explores this question through real project failures, overlooked warning signs, and a CIO who refused to let AI make the final call.

Read the slides to discover where AI adds real value—and where automation should stop.

Which project management decision would you never fully delegate to AI?
