❤️ Okay… NOW I can finally show you what all the fuss was about. 😂

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been hiding the finished piece for one very good reason — it was a wedding surprise. 💍

Now that Jordan & Kloda are officially married… meet the Blue French Horn. 💙

Yep. That Blue French Horn.

What started as a simple 3D print turned into one of those projects that completely takes over the workshop. The printing method changed, there were failed attempts, an absolutely f*cking ridiculous amount of resin supports 😂, sanding, filling, painting, a custom stand, acrylic, engraving… and considerably more hours than originally planned.

But then you see that wedding photo. ❤️

Something that spent days scattered around my workshop is suddenly sitting at their wedding, in their hands.

That’s the good s**t.

Jordan & Kloda — congratulations again. ❤️🥂💍 And thank you for trusting me with something that became a small part of such a massive day.

And Jordan — thank you for the absolutely ridiculous review. 😂❤️
I’ll let the last photo speak for itself.

Now I can FINALLY stop hiding the bloody thing. 😂💙

Now THAT is a build plate. 😅

There’s a big difference between getting one resin print to work… and preparing something that can be repeated reliably across an entire production plate.

Before reaching this stage there was mesh checking, orientation work, island detection, support development, bracing, physical test prints and final adjustments based on the actual printed models.

But support design isn’t only about making sure the print survives.

It also needs to make sense after the printing is finished.

These have been prepared so that, once the support structure is opened up, the miniature can essentially be lifted straight out from the top rather than having to fight through a cage of supports to remove it.

When you’re dealing with a full production plate, little decisions like that make a massive difference to post-processing time and reduce the risk of damaging small details during removal.

A successful print is only half the job. Making it repeatable and practical to process is the other half.

Now we print. 👀

❤️ Sometimes the best part of this job has absolutely nothing to do with money.

Today I finally handed over the wedding project I’ve been teasing you all with. And no… you’re still not seeing it. 😂 There’s one rather important person who hasn’t seen it yet — the bride. 💍

But today I got something I genuinely wasn’t expecting. I got to see the reaction. And f*ck me… that made the whole thing worth it. ❤️

You know that moment when someone sees something you’ve made and you can immediately tell you absolutely nailed it? No polite “yeah, that’s lovely.” No wondering whether they actually like it.

You just know.

That happened today. And I drove home with the biggest stupid grin on my face. 😂

Running a small business isn’t always about squeezing every possible euro out of every job. Sometimes the numbers make perfect sense. Sometimes… considerably less so. 😂

But every now and then you get paid in something that doesn’t appear on an invoice. Someone being genuinely f*cking delighted with something you made.

I’ll take that win today. ❤️

There’s still one final chapter left in this ridiculous little story — the actual wedding reveal. So until then, the finished piece stays under wraps. 😈

But before that — from PrintThatThing3D, a massive congratulations to Jordan & Kloda. ❤️🥂💍 Wishing you both an absolutely amazing wedding and all the happiness in the world for everything that comes after it.

And Jordan — thank you, genuinely, for trusting me with something that was meant for such an important moment. It means a lot. ❤️

I hope this bloody thing makes you both smile for many years to come.

And one last thing, Jordan… DON’T. FORGET. THE. WEDDING. PHOTOS. 😂📸

💍🎺 Well… the wedding gift is finished. 😈

Remember that project I mentioned the other day?
The one where I said things had started getting slightly out of hand? 😂

Yeah.
I may have underestimated the word “slightly.” 🤦‍♂️😂

What was originally supposed to be a fairly straightforward job somehow turned into… whatever the hell I’ve just spent the last few days making. 😂

And the best part?

The customer has absolutely no idea what he’s picking up tomorrow. 😈
None of this was requested.
None of it was discussed.
At no point did anyone say: “Peter, please make this significantly more complicated and expensive for yourself.”

I just… did. 😂

Because apparently once my brain decides “nah, we can do better than that”, the original plan can go f*ck itself. 🤷‍♂️😂
Was any of this a sensible business decision? Absolutely not. 😂
Was it worth it when I look at the finished thing? 100%. 🔥

I’d LOVE to show you what came out of it, but considering it’s a surprise from the groom to the bride, I’m keeping my mouth shut until he’s seen it and gives me the OK to post it. 😂

For now, you’ll just have to trust me:
this escalated beautifully. 😎🔥

Tomorrow should be fun. 👀

Yep, I print car parts too. 😎

This one came in as a ready-to-print STL and was printed in ABS/ASA — a much better choice than PLA when heat resistance and durability matter.

Big part, long print, and a pretty satisfying result.

Does ABS/ASA smell absolutely fu***ng horrible while it’s printing?
Yes. 😂

And if you don’t believe me, just ask my girlfriend. She’ll confirm it. 😂

But hey… the things we do for a good print.

Got a ready-to-print 3D model that needs producing? Whether it’s something for a car, workshop, home or another project — send it over and I’ll see what I can do.

❤️ I absolutely love moments like this.

A customer messages me with a simple:
“Can you print this for me?”

Sure! We talk about the size, material, price… normal stuff. The print gets done — 13 hours of FDM printing. 🖨️

But then, somewhere between a few messages, I realise there’s something more behind it. 👀

This isn’t just “print me a thing.”
There’s a story. There’s a reason. It actually means something to someone.

And that's the moment when everything changes at PrintThatThing3D. 🔥

🗑️ That original FDM print?
13 hours of printing… straight in the bin. 😂

At that point, those 13 hours simply didn't matter anymore.

The project goes back to the drawing board. Suddenly I'm looking at resin printing, FDM, laser work, custom finishing and whatever else I can throw at it to turn the original request into something completely different. 🛠️✨

Because once I know WHY you want something made, sometimes “good enough” simply isn't good enough anymore.

It has to be right. It has to be 100%. 💯

So here's a little tip if you ever order something from me:

💬 TALK TO ME.

Tell me what you're planning. Tell me why you're making it. Tell me the story behind it.

Because sometimes that little bit of information completely changes what I can make for you.

And if you manage to get ME personally interested in the idea too… 😈

Well…
that's when things can get seriously out of hand. 😂🔥

And that's exactly what happened this time.

I can't show you what I'm making just yet… 🤫
But this one is going to be special.

To be continued… 👀

🐢 Work in progress!

I'm definitely not a painter, so it is what it is. 😅 I'm just having fun, learning with every project, and trying to get a little better each time.

Hopefully I'll have this turtle finished tomorrow! 🤞🎨

"Do you only print complete models?" 🤔

Believe it or not... we actually get questions like this. 😅

So here's the official answer:

✅ Heads? Yes.
✅ Arms? Yes.
✅ Legs? Also yes.
✅ Replacement parts? Absolutely.
✅ Completely random requests? Bring them on. 😎

Sometimes a customer only needs a replacement part. Sometimes it's for a custom project.

And sometimes... they just need four angry Hulk heads. 💚😂

At Print That Thing 3D, we don't judge. We just print.

(Although four angry Hulk heads is definitely one of the more normal jobs we've had...)

🚨 Something BIG is coming... 👀

For the past few weeks, something new has been quietly joining the workshop.

A new machine.
New possibilities.
Completely new products.

This is probably the biggest step forward for PrintThatThing3D since adding resin printers.

I'm not revealing what it is just yet... 😏

But one thing is certain:

The next chapter is going to be colourful.

Stay tuned. 🔥
