A very special thank you to our former student Scott Sheridan, who came back in to us on Tuesday morning to share his story with this year’s class.

From his very first day walking through the doors at Airglooney, finding his feet and discovering his own creative path, to overcoming challenges, sticking with it and going on to complete his MA in Creative Practice at ATU. It was lovely to hear Scott share in a real honest way and reflect on his experiences that led him to were he is today.

His story was a reminder of the importance of persistence, having the space and support to find your own way, and what can grow from a small, welcoming and nurturing learning environment.

Thanks so much, Scott, for coming back and sharing your journey with us. We’re very proud to have been part of it.

A warm welcome to our new Drawing class!

It’s lovely to get this year’s art and design class underway, with everyone settling in and getting to know each other through drawing.

We’ve started with the fundamentals of drawing, exploring line, shape, observation, proportion, tone and shading through a series of practical exercises.

It’s been a great start, with lots of enthusiasm, experimentation and plenty of work already beginning to take shape.

Looking forward to seeing how everyone’s drawing develops over the coming weeks!

A huge congratulations to Scott Sheridan on his recent exhibition ‘From One Breath to the Next’, at ATU Galway, following the completion of his MA in Creative Practice.

Scott completed his QQI Level 5 Art & Design and Digital Marketing with us in Airglooney FET, so it’s really lovely to see how his creative journey has continued and developed since then.

Well done, Scott! We’re delighted to see all your hard work paying off. Wishing you every success for what comes next!
