Budget 2027 brings a number of important payroll changes from January, including increases to the minimum wage, tax bands and the employer PRSI threshold.

PRSI rates increase from 1 October 2026. For Class A, employee PRSI rises to 4.35%, while employer rates rise to 9.15% and 11.40%.
Parolla will apply the new rates automatically based on pay date.

The 2 month opt out window is now live for employees who were enrolled in January 2026.
An employee can opt out via the employee MyFutureFund portal, but only after the first 6 months of participation.
Opt-outs last for a maximum of two years. If the employee has not re-enrolled after two years and remains eligible, they will be automatically re-enrolled.
