Been quiet for a while!! its not just computers and phones and laptops i work with... got this kids toy in today. the batteries had been left in it and they had leaked, and the contacts were corroded away.. after fabricating new battery contacts its good to go again!!! (Y)

Sooo, i've noticed the old lotus seed is doing the rounds on FB again. please note. if you see what looks like a shocking video of a horrible larvae infection on someones body, PLEASE DO NOT CLICK IT!!!!!. ITS A VIRUS!!! and it will constantly post to your facebook without your knowledge and spread it to all your friends... don't fall for it folks...

Been a while!!! i'll try to be more regular... Heres the latest patient. Toshiba Satellite C660 that came in riddled with viruses. only option was to Nuke windows and reinstall. Still managed to save the data off it first, but had to remove the HDD and connect it to another machine. Running sweet now (Y)

Toshiba Satellite C850 that came in with a broken headphone Jack. Now. as people never use the mic jack on their laptops, I simply desoldered the mic jack off the motherboard, and resoldered it into the place for the headphone jack. Simples. also gave it a jolly good dusting while i had it, as it was filthy with dust inside. thought it would be rude not to give it a wee upgrade while it was with me, so stuck in a wee 2GB stick of RAM as well. (Y) running sweet and ready to go home to its owner. NEXT.....

TIP: If a webpage is flashing a message at you saying your computer is slow or has a virus, DON'T click into it!!! IT'S A TRAP!!! what will most likely happen is that it will actually install all kinds of nasties on your computer, then try to charge you to remove them. Be safe out there people...
