With Christmas fast approaching, this week is the last week to get any repairs done, as I will be finishing up this coming Friday 19th 🎅

I may be around for emergency repairs, depending on availability, but if you have anything that needs fixing, now is the best time to get it in!

This laptop came in from a local Medical Centre for being slow and freezing, and wouldn't open a critical program with patient info on it 😟

After testing the hard drive itself, alarmingly I found the drive health was at 11% with an estimated 11 days of life left (rapidly dropped to 5 days while testing), meaning at any minute the drive could fully fail and all data would be lost 😨

But with the power of Linux and some of it's recovery tools I managed to clone the whole drive to a brand new SSD Drive 🥳

Meaning, not only was all the important customer data saved, but the laptop speed was also improved as we had installed a much faster and reliable SSD Drive, versus the older style HDD.

All patient files were saved and the Medical Centre could get back to work with no further worries 🥵✅

A very close call but a success in the end 🔥

If you have a system that's acting up, or have critical data in just one place, why not get it backed up or make a clone of the device, so if anything does happen, you always have a back up somewhere and avoid losing any important data or software!

This Macbook Pro M1 came in only working when the power lead was connected, once removed it would power straight off.

After disassembly the battery cells were found to be swollen, and gone fautly ❌

After a full battery replacement this Macbook is back working on battery power and no longer needs to be plugged in 24/7 ✅
