I had so much fun taking part in the weekly Moth Studios challenge on Tuesday. I found great enjoyment in it. I started out with another drawing that I disregarded because I realised I didn’t actually connect with the image at all. I flipped over a new page and started penning, chaotically. And here we have it, it’s called Midnight Mass. The theme of the challenge was ‘Christmas’. As I am now working full time in Health and Safety, marketing and graphics has been put on the back burner to an extent! I’m still working away on the odd creative project but I want to immerse myself in my art. Bringing MacAtilla back to its creative root’s. I will always be thankful to the people who supported me and my clients. I started MacAtilla after two car crashes that occurred within a short proximity to each other. I struggled with driving following this which made my full time job a hassle. Due to the stresses that came along with all of that I needed a break. I’m not one to lay down though! So I started making art prints, personalised and once-off designs. I remember coming up to Christmas I’d have a stack of orders for the post office and more in the boot to deliver locally. I’ll likely write a piece about this whole time of my life because it’s unbelievable the people I met along the way during this venture. It’s amazing what you see at 11am in the morning when you’re perusing around town selling your art on a Tuesday morning! It opened my eyes to the hours of the day that I’d have otherwise spent in an office or on a building site. MacAtilla Prints became a bigger beast, MacAtilla Marketing. I took on some bigger clients and began doing social media work for companies. The time I spent in this industry allowed me to be creative and heal but being the gal I am, the sites always have had my heart. I work full time now, doing something I love and I have no regrets on my journey. I grafted when I had to, it paid my bills and above all else, I met some wonderful people and found a new appreciation for the crafters and small businesses in Ireland. I am going to be using my account going forward to simply share what I’m up to on the creative front! Thank you for the support!❤️
