The Hatch Lab The Hatch Lab is a mix of Incubator space and Co working space located in Gorey, Wexford. The Hatch Lab is a new Tech Incubator space located in Gorey, Wexford.

Located in a modern building, The Hatch Lab is designed specifically for Technology Companies, supporting business concepts, business start-ups and co-working staff. Becoming a client of the Hatch Lab covers incubation space, networking, mentoring, advice, organised events, peer to peer learning and sharing of ideas, information and knowledge, technical expert talks and pitches to potential investors.

Do you know a young person who'd love to get hands-on with filmmaking and VR technology?

The Hatch Lab Gorey is taking part in on June 6th with a brilliant free workshop, a 360 Filmmaking VR Experience facilitated by Mick Byrne and Terence White from Gorey School of Art.

Teens aged 13–17 will learn to shoot film using 360 cameras and then watch it back through VR headsets and it runs from 2–5pm.

Yesterday we said goodbye to Iwona Turnea, who has been a valued member of the Hatch Lab team for the past 7 years.

Iwona has been an integral part of our operations since the early days, reliable, dedicated, and a constant presence in the day to day life of the hub.

She leaves having made a genuine and lasting contribution to what we've built here in Gorey.

We gathered for a farewell lunch to mark the occasion and wish her well on the road ahead.

We want to take a moment to thank Iwona sincerely for her years of service and wish her and her family every success and happiness in their next chapter.

Our Creative Writing & Creative Thinking workshop was a brilliant afternoon well spent, and the room agreed!

Cat Hogan led an incredible session on the fundamentals of storytelling, creative thinking techniques for business, and how to actually use your head when it comes to your writing and your brand.

Cat is an international bestselling novelist and screenwriter from Wexford, with a track record of facilitating workshops for businesses through the Local Enterprise Offices network and curating writing events all over Ireland, and it showed.

The workshop was brilliantly received, with plenty of big ideas, honest conversation about what storytelling can (and can't) do, and real takeaways for everyone in the room.

A huge congratulations to QedON who has officially launched ExpertEd at Hatch Lab Gorey last evening, with Malcolm Byrne (Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on AI, no less) in attendance to mark the occasion.

The incredible team based in The Hatch Lab have built a digital learning platform already supporting businesses in Ireland and South Africa, with serious growth plans on the horizon.

This is exactly what Hatch Lab exists for.
Founders with a big idea, the grit to build it, and the ambition to take it beyond borders.

Last week The Hatch Lab CEO John O Connor appeared before the Joint Committee on Social Protection, Rural and Community Development alongside Siobhán Finn (Community Enterprise Association Ireland) and Patricia Frayne (Portlaoise Enterprise Centre) to make the case for community enterprise centres and hubs across Ireland.

For the micro businesses and small enterprises anchored in towns like Gorey and Enniscorthy (Enniscorthy Enterprise & Technology Centre) stable core funding is the key to a town that thrives.

The ask is straightforward:

↠Fund our centres properly.
↠Invest in the people who run them.
↠Recognise this sector as the professional, high-performing part of Ireland's regional economy that it already is.

Big news from one of our own.

ACTiV App, resident right here at The Hatch Lab, has just been formally designated an Official Industry Partner for collaborative research with the University of Limerick and the University of Southampton.

That's a €2M research project backed by EPSRC and Research Ireland.

Niall Jordan and the ACTiV App team are doing something genuinely exciting, building a science backed platform that's now supporting studies in metabolic health, behaviour change, and long term disease risk prediction.

Real data, real-world outcomes, real impact.
