Why would I buy an MP3 player in 2026?

I’m trying to cut down on subscriptions and spend less time glued to my phone, so this actually makes a lot of sense.

It stores up to 4,000 songs, has Bluetooth, expandable storage and even comes with wired headphones — all for €59.

No calls. No notifications. No distractions. Just music.

Comment MP3 and I’ll send you the link.

After years of working with laptops, I've definitely got my preferences — but it really depends on what you need the laptop for.

ThinkPad? Huge fan of the professional range.
Apple? Great if you're in the ecosystem or doing creative work.
Dell, HP, MSI, ASUS and Surface? Each has its strengths and weaknesses depending on the model and how you plan to use it.

For me, reliability, repairability and long-term value matter just as much as how a laptop looks or performs on day one.

Travelling and need reliable internet?

There are two ways I like to do it:

📡 4G mobile router — pop in a SIM card and connect up to 10 devices.

🌍 eSIM travel router — no physical SIM needed, just activate your data through the app and use it around the world.

One is €99, the other is €129 — so which makes more sense for you depends on how you travel.

Comment ROAM and I’ll send you links to both.

Before you assume your laptop needs a repair, try these simple checks.

🔄 Windows acting strangely? Check Windows Update — including optional updates — then restart your laptop a few times.

🕳️ Won’t turn on? Look for a small reset hole underneath. A paperclip can sometimes perform the same reset as removing the battery used to.

🔌 Not charging? Check the laptop's power indicator before assuming the charger is faulty.

And one of the simplest things you can do: restart your laptop regularly instead of leaving it in sleep or hibernate all the time.

Still having problems? DM me or pop into one of our stores.

No more cable spaghetti!

This €39 power bank has a built-in retractable USB-C cable, so you don't have to carry another cable around.

You've also got USB-A, USB-C, a bright battery display and a handy lanyard — all in a really compact design.

Honestly, one of my favourite power banks.

You don't need to spend hundreds on a home security camera.

This TP-Link Tapo is under €40, connects to your phone and takes just a few minutes to set up.

You can watch live from your phone, and if you want to record footage, just add an inexpensive microSD card.

Especially useful as the nights get darker.

This looks like it came straight out of the 80s… but it does a lot more than radio.

You’ve got AM/FM/long wave, Bluetooth, USB playback and an MP3 player — all for €39.

And that old-school design and rich tone? I love it.

How expensive is a laptop repair?

Here are some typical costs I see:

🖥️ Screen replacement: Often under €240 on older Windows laptops
🔋 Battery: Around €150
💧 Liquid damage: Usually less than replacing the laptop
🔧 Motherboard repair: Often €200–€300+ depending on the fault
💾 Hard drive corruption: Around €130 if your data is backed up

And sometimes a repair can save you hundreds compared with buying a new laptop.

Running a small business and need a laptop that can do a bit of everything?

For a €500–€700 budget, I'd look at the ThinkPad X1 Yoga.

You get a premium, tough build, full 360° touchscreen, built-in active stylus, Windows 11 Pro and up to 512GB storage + 16/32GB RAM.

It’s designed for emails, Canva, Google Docs, video calls, files and everyday business work — without going overboard on performance you don't need.

Plus, there's a 2-year warranty.

That “free trial” might be costing you a lot more than you think.

I recently came across someone paying €50 every year for a yoga app she had used once… almost a year earlier.

Free trials aren't the problem — forgetting to cancel them is.

Before you sign up for another one, set a reminder for the day before it ends.

Check your subscriptions today. You might be surprised by what you find.
