Podcasts are a great way to engage your audience.
They're a passive format compared to video because you only need your ears to pay attention.
So, your audience can listen to your content while they're driving or at the gym working out. Podcasts don't need their entire focus unlike watching a video where they need to set aside time to give it their full attention.
1. Microphone
Your audience will be able to overlook a number of issues with your podcast but poor audio is unforgivable. Don't make your podcast sound like nails on a chalkboard.
2. Headphones
Youโll need to hear what youโre saying and what your guests are saying if youโre doing interviews, so choose good headphones.
3. Recording and Editing Software
Youโll need a way to edit your audio. Start off with a free program to get started. There are many free platforms online. Do a quick Google search to see what best suits your businesses needs!
4. A Podcast Hosting Account
You donโt have to host your podcasts on your website. That would eat up your bandwidth. Instead, use a media hosting platform like Soundcloud.
5. Social Media
You could just record the podcast and share it online through Facebook or Youtube. Make it easy for your listeners to find and engage with your content!
