Square1 partnered with TUI , one of the world’s leading tourism groups, to engineer a sophisticated global payment orchestration layer powered by Stripe. The solution connects TUI’s internal CRM, enterprise ERP and Stripe infrastructure, automating complex payment flows across markets including the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and Thailand.

From multi-phase 30/70 instalment payments and booking modifications to secure payment links and real-time synchronisation, the new infrastructure has helped reduce manual work, improve financial visibility and give TUI the scalability needed to support complex global travel operations.

Agentic commerce is no longer just a concept, it’s something developers can start building today.

With the World Cup season in full swing, we wanted to bring the concept to life by building PayForGoals: a working API that sells one historic football scoreline per request.

In our latest article, we explore how AI agents and software can autonomously discover, pay for and access digital resources using the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP).

Powered by our open-source Laravel MPP package, an unpaid request receives a 402 Payment Required response, completes the payment through an available payment rail, and automatically retries the request to access the data.

No traditional checkout. No manual purchasing process. Just software paying software.

PayForGoals currently supports Stripe (Shared Payment Tokens) and Tempo (signed on-chain payments), demonstrating how autonomous machine payments can work in practice.

This is just the beginning of our exploration into the agentic commerce stack. We're building, testing and sharing what we learn to help developers understand what's possible today.
