We wouldn't judge a business's AI visibility from one ChatGPT search. 🤖

When we're investigating it, we'd try several of the questions a potential customer might realistically ask.

For example:

🔍 “Who provides [service] in Dublin?”
🔍 “Which companies specialise in [service]?”
🔍 “Where can I find [specific solution] in Ireland?”

Then we'd look for patterns.

Which businesses keep appearing?
Which websites and sources keep being referenced?
Does your business appear consistently?
Is the information about you accurate?

One answer is a snapshot. The patterns across several searches are much more interesting.

That's where we'd start investigating what could be improved.

There’s a new setting worth checking in Google Search Console. 👀

Go to:

Settings → Search generative AI

Here you can check whether your website is included in Google's generative AI search features.

If your site is excluded, its links and content won't be eligible to appear in the supported AI features.

One important point: switching this on doesn't boost your rankings. It simply controls whether your content is eligible for inclusion.

A small setting, but definitely one website owners should know about as Google Search continues to change. 🤖
