With respect for the difficult and fearful times we know many are going through around the world right now, we are doing our best to make sure that our clients can continue to access our services, when forced to work remotely.
Understandably, we cannot respond to all direct requests for answers. So please put all requests through your company IT providers and systems. We remain connected with them to keep support ongoing and we appreciate your ongoing efforts to create global solutions, thank you.
In return, we hope you may find the following information researched by our IT team useful and actionable.
-----------------------------
With the spread of Covid-19 and the varying responses around the world, as with other disasters or crises in the past, there has been a corresponding surge in malware, phishing and fraudulent activity exploiting concerns about the virus to attack systems, personal identities and credentials.
E-Mail
We have already seen a significant upswing in the amount of fraudulent e-mail (phishing and malware) being intercepted by systems, and some may get through advanced email defenses to land in your inboxes.
In view of this, be particularly vigilant in cases where you get e-mails referring to Coronavirus, regardless of who they are from.
Web-Sites
There have been a number of reports of malicious web-sites claiming to provide information about Covid-19 such as maps and other statistics and using these to try and push malware onto unprotected PCs.
