We're absolutely delighted to finally be able to present our 'Grounded' project table, for Grey Fox. This is a project that started as an EU FP7 project called , which focused on improving interactions, participation, engagement, project competion and apprehension in the STEM subjects.
Fast forward to 2019, we have developed the concept as a standing height table system, with enlarged Foot-plate, which gives users a sense of being grounded and secure, when sitting at a higher work surface.
This in turn enables better flow, and eye contact between collaborators, who can choose to sit, perch or stand during project work without any exaggerated break in the eye-levels between each other.

Here is a short video, which explains our philosophy (in part) behind the creation of our RAY chair and table concept for Labofa. This was my Masters Research question in 2006-2008 and became the first project we undertook with Perch Dynamic Solutions Limited.
Since then, the RAY chair is selling over 17,000 units per year around Scandinavia and growing steadily.
I hope this shines some light on the rationale behind the higher sitting concept.
