Choice Cars, operating under the Be Driven brand, provides services across Portugal spanning tourism, food delivery and student transportation
Both iCabbi and Move AI are being used for intelligent route optimisation, driver scheduling and dispatching, helping Be Driven effectively coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs while balancing customer experience and driver utilisation.
This approach has dramatically reduced demand on call centre staff, with around 200 hours per month now being reallocated to higher-value tasks. A number of projects are also underway to drive further automation across its predominantly pre-booked passenger transfer operation.
The flexibility of the iCabbi API was one of the key factors that set iCabbi apart from other providers when Be Driven chose to switch. One year on, the increase in automation and manual hours saved is clear, with iCabbi playing a central role in powering the Be Driven operation.
Choice Cars is part of the Mobility division of Grupo Salvador Caetano, an international automotive and mobility group operating across three continents, with 80 years in the automotive industry. The wider group is also exploring new areas of mobility, including autonomous delivery vehicles, electric charging and new mobility hubs in Portugal.

The 2026 MobilityData Summit in Montreal saw over 200 attendees from 20+ countries come together to collaborate around a shared goal: moving mobility data forward.
The Summit brings together global leaders, innovators and experts for two days of panels, workshops and hands-on sessions focused on advancing transportation through data. This is a conversation that’s particularly relevant to us at iCabbi as we work to deliver a coordinated wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) network for King County, Washington State. The service will use MobilityData’s General On-Demand Feed Specification (GOFS) open standard to connect multiple transportation providers through a live, coordinated network. By building on an open standard rather than proprietary technology, the model is designed to support interoperability and provide a scalable approach that other jurisdictions can adopt. It’s a great example of how open mobility data can move beyond discussion and be put into practice to help build more connected and accessible transportation.

We've just spent a very rewarding day with Diogo Miranda and Liliana Braga of Choice Car in Portugal. They are a true mobility company, operating across tourism, food delivery and student transportation. Both iCabbi and Move AI Platform are being used for intelligent route optimisation, driver scheduling and dispatching for the Be Driven brand, ensuring that all pick-up and drop-off transfers are effectively coordinated to balance customer experience and driver utilisation. The team showed us how they have dramatically reduced demand on their call centre staff, with some 200 hours per month now being reallocated to higher-value tasks. A number of projects are currently underway to drive further automation across their predominantly pre-booked passenger transfer operation. These projects hinge on the strength and flexibility of iCabbi's API — which, for Choice Cars, is the jewel in iCabbi's standout offering.

Choice Cars is part of the Mobility division of Grupo Salvador Caetano, an automotive and mobility international conglomerate present across three continents, with 80 years dedicated to the automotive industry. While Diogo and Liliana are working with just a small part of this global empire for now, it was fascinating to see just how productive they and their team are. They're young, innovative and moving at pace. We were fortunate to get a sneak peek at an autonomous vehicle pilot for deliveries and learn more about their crossover into electric charging through sister company Go.Charge who they are collaborating with to deliver a number of new mobility hubs in Portugal. Future thinking and synergies are clearly evident here, and it's exciting to see how the iCabbi and Move AI platforms are fitting into this ecosystem.

For other iCabbi customers out there, take note. Be Driven operates in Lisbon, Madeira and Porto — all destinations where your iCabbi Passenger App will now work. Be sure to let your customers know they can pre-book their airport, hotel and excursion transfers to these locations with you.
