Here's a nice little tip to start the week off for all you Word, PowerPoint and Outlook users.

Have you ever typed a sentence or paragraph and then realised you have hit the caps lock and typed the whole thing in upper case. Unfortunately many users delete the text, switch off the caps lock and retype the sentence again.
Well not to worry, Microsoft has a command button to fix it. Its called Change Case (alternatively use the shortcut Key SHIFT + F3), its found in Word and PowerPoint under the Home Tab in the Font group.
For Outlook users, when you open a new mail go to the Format Text tab and Font group.

Here's another gem from our 'Best practices when using Outlook' Seminar.

Avoid re-typing the same information.

If you need to use the same text over and over again, you can save it as a Quick Parts for insertion into emails.
To do so, you need to highlight the text in question, move to the Insert tab, click the Quick Parts drop-down then select Save selection to the Quick Parts gallery.

At a later time, when you start typing the text, you will see it as a pop up suggestion. Select it to insert it. You can select the text through the Quick Parts drop-down and right-click on the text for placing options or for editing and managing Quick Parts.

• Delete it.
• Do it (respond or file for reference, can it be completed in 2 minutes)
• Delegate it (forward).
• Defer it (using categories and flags) for a second review in your task list.
