Recently, I worked with D4 Films to provide same day editing at the Irish Restaurant Awards, one of the most high-profile events in Ireland's culinary calendar. The task? Capture the Chef's interviews, their energy in the kitchen and deliver a polished event prep highlights video to be screened by the during the night. One of the biggest mental hurdles in professional video editing is the burden of choice. When you have all the time in the world, it’s easy to get lost in endless possibilities. Same day editing removes that burden. You have to trust your gut, make bold calls, and move forward. There’s no time for second-guessing, and paradoxically, that can be creatively freeing. The Gift (and Curse) of Less Choice. Some craic. Congrats to all the winners on the night !

Its not every day you get the opportunity to film behind the scenes with a consultant cardiologist. Dr Keaney specialises in Cardiac Electrophysiology – the field that focuses on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders.

From intricate procedures to quiet moments of patient care and precision teamwork, I got to witness the complexity and humanity behind a field that often goes unseen.

It was jaw dropping to see how much expertise, amazing team work, calm under pressure, and innovation go into keeping hearts in rhythm – quite literally.

Massive respect to all the healthcare professionals pushing boundaries in cardiac care. A huge thank you to Dr Keaney and the amazing team for letting me capture a glimpse of this life-saving work. Edit coming soon.

Apparently over 70% of a whiskey’s flavour comes from the barrel it’s aged in. The same goes for storytelling — its the environment, the texture, the unseen details that shape the final product. That’s exactly what we focus on when crafting your visuals. Had the pleasure recently of filming on location at Boann Distillery and Pearse Lyons Distillery for our UK-based client, Starling Wines & Spirits. From the copper stills to the stories behind the barrels, these two iconic spots were a dream to shoot — rich in heritage, character, and of course, incredible whiskey.

Huge thanks to the teams at both distilleries for the warm welcome and behind-the-scenes access. Can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on for Starling — a brand that truly values the craft and culture behind every bottle.
