See Change is a non-profit organisation working to end mental health stigma in Irish society. Today marks the launch of See Change’s Green Ribbon Campaign. The theme for this year’s campaign is Shame. The campaign focuses on the various ways in which shame can negatively impact people coping with mental health issues and what we all can do to confront it. The tagline for the campaign is, “There is no shame in having a mental health difficulty.”

The Green Ribbon campaign encourages the Hard Conversations around mental health which ultimately benefit individuals and contribute to the work against mental health stigma. See Change will be hosting a series of events and running social media campaigns throughout the month. They have also released a podcast discussing the importance of conversations around mental health. You can support the campaign by attending events, engaging with See Change’s content online, and using the hashtag.
