Last Tuesday, a group of employees from our Cork office had the privilege of spending the afternoon at - Field of Dreams, a purpose-built training facility that empowers adults with Down Syndrome to develop essential learning, life, and work skills.

This visit was part of Cadence's Volunteer Time Off program, which provides every employee with dedicated time to give back to their communities. The scale and impact of what Down Syndrome Cork has built is truly inspiring—a fully functioning farm and training environment designed to equip adults with meaningful, real-world skills.

Our volunteers took part in two activities during the day—some rolled up their sleeves in the garden, while others joined the "Buddy Up" program, working alongside trainees on various workplace scenarios. It was a day of connection, learning, and giving back, and we’re incredibly proud of our team for embracing this opportunity to make a difference.

Last week at our Cork office, we hosted our first Brown Bag Lunch session of the year—bringing together all our interns for an informal and insightful exchange.

A big thanks to Brian Withers, Design Engineering Group Director, Silicon Solutions Group, for leading such an engaging session. From career development and interview preparation to insights into the EDA industry and life at Cadence, the discussion covered it all.

The open, conversational format made it especially valuable—giving interns the opportunity to ask questions, share perspectives, and learn from real-world experiences.

An inspiring start to the journey for our 2026 intern cohort. Looking forward to many more such interactions ahead!
