The late John Gallagher
The Glenfin Area Council, Gleann Fhinne CTR and the Isaac Butt Heritage Committee wish to express our deep sadness on the passing of our colleague John Gallagher, whose vision and commitment made a lasting difference to the lives of people throughout our community.
A pioneer in community development, John played a leading role in the establishment of the Isaac Butt Heritage Centre, Ionad Pobail Ghleann Fhinne, and numerous other initiatives and projects over many years.
His dedication was driven by a deep belief in the value of community and in improving the lives of others. His energy, generosity and commitment will be remembered with gratitude by all those who worked with him and benefitted from his efforts.
His passing marks the loss of a true community champion. His legacy will live on through the many facilities and projects he helped to create and through the projects pending fulfilment.
Our sincere sympathies are extended to his wife Mary and family, Laura, Anita, Damien and Colin, his brother Fr Eddie and sister Annie B Kelly.
