We’re delighted to be part of the new Louth GAA stadium development in Dundalk — a truly monumental occasion, with a county GAA pitch being brought to life from a greenfield site. An incredible amount of work and dedication has gone into getting to this stage.
It’s been a pleasure working in conjunction with Ganson Building and Civil Engineering on this exciting project.
A big week on site in the sunshine — with four 32m columns safely erected using crane and hoist. Thankfully, the wind played its part later in the week and allowed everything to go smoothly.
Great progress and plenty more to come!

We’re delighted to be part of the new Louth GAA stadium development in Dundalk — a truly monumental occasion, with a county GAA pitch being brought to life from a greenfield site. An incredible amount of work and dedication has gone into getting to this stage.

It’s been a pleasure working in conjunction with Ganson Building and Civil Engineering on this exciting project.

Installing the floodlights is the easy part. The real work happens long before we arrive — in meetings, planning, fundraising, and countless hours given freely by dedicated individuals. People like Bernie, who work tirelessly behind the scenes, are the reason projects like this even get off the ground.

Dealing with sound people makes our job ten times easier — it’s a testament to what keeps clubs and communities thriving across the country.

Week 4 of our Apprentice Academy

This week our Engineering Manager David Nolan gave the MSD apprentices an insight into the design side of our projects. Using our drawings and plans, he explained the process from the initial survey stage right through to the finished project design.

David also introduced the lads to CAD, BIM and the take-off process, showing how different software tools are used within our engineering department.

Using the refurbishment of St. Mary’s Church in Edenderry as an example, he walked them through the project from the original survey of the old church to the final design that brought the refurbishment to life.

A great session giving the apprentices a look at how projects develop from survey to finished design.

Week 3 of the Apprentice Academy with MSD & CBRE, and the lads had the chance to learn from one of the best. Our Senior Electrician Paul McGrath, joined the session to walk them through the ins and outs of testing and certification, giving the apprentices a solid understanding of the processes, standards, and attention to detail required in the field.

Delighted to have teamed up with St. Ultan’s GAA in the Royal County to put the finishing touches to their already impressive club redevelopment.
This latest phase sees the installation of a new pitch floodlighting system, further enhancing the facilities for players and the wider community.
Shay met with club officials during the week to seal the deal, and we’re looking forward to seeing the completed project shining bright very soon 🤝
