Part-Time Photo Printing & Picture Framing Assistant
Location: Pixcam, Buncrana, Co. Donegal – Onsite
Pixcam is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Photo Printing & Picture Framing Assistant to join our small team in Buncrana.
Pixcam provides professional photo printing and picture framing services for both individual customers and professional photographers. We are looking for someone who can support our existing team across photo printing, customer service and, importantly, learn the skills involved in picture framing.
This could be a great opportunity for someone looking for a rewarding part-time role where they can develop a practical and creative skill while working in a small, friendly business.
No previous picture framing experience is required. Full training can be provided to the right person, although previous experience in framing, printing, photography or similar work would be an advantage.
The Role
The role will involve a combination of customer service, photo printing and picture framing work.
Responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with the production of picture frames and learning the different stages of the framing process.
• Preparing and handling photographs, prints and artwork with care.
• Printing photographs in both standard and large formats for individual customers and professional photographers.
• Receiving and processing customer orders accurately.
• Communicating with customers by phone, email and in person.
• Checking finished work carefully to ensure a high standard of accuracy and presentation.
• Organising work to ensure customer orders are completed within agreed timescales.
• Assisting with other day-to-day activities within Pixcam as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys careful, practical work and takes pride in producing something to a high standard.
The right person will have:
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.
• Good computer skills and confidence learning new software.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to deal comfortably with customers by phone, email and in person.
• Good organisation and time-management skills.
• The patience and care required when handling customers' photographs, artwork and personal items.
• The ability to work independently while also working closely with another team member.
• A willingness to learn new practical skills, particularly picture framing.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive approach to work.
Experience That Would Be Beneficial
Previous experience is not essential, but any of the following would be an advantage:
• Picture framing or mounting.
• Photo printing or working in a photo lab.
• Photography.
• Photo editing software.
• Printing or print production.
• Retail or customer service.
• Processing online orders.
