Reminder: The future of the Dojo is in your hands!
Annual General Meeting: 7th January 2023 at 14:30, Presentation College
As mentioned a couple of weeks ago (see https://www.coderdojobray.com/2022/12/agm2023.html), we we will hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) this afternoon (Saturday 7th January 2023) at 14:30 in Presentation College, Bray.
This is a very important AGM to decide on the continuity of the Dojo.
At present we do not have enough mentors and Board members to restart our sessions, or continue CoderDojo Bray as a charity and free community service.
At the AGM, we will discuss the following two options:
(1) to agree that the dojo has reached the end of its operations and dissolve the charity and service entirely, or
(2) to urgently recruit Board members and mentors in order to continue, and to restart in-person sessions in the coming school year.
If you would like your child to attend free weekly coding sessions during the school year the Dojo, we urgently need your support.
We require 2-3 board members and 4-5 volunteer mentors in order to continue our valuable, and free, community service.
Please consider giving some of your time to continue the great work of the dojo for young people in our community. You do not necessarily require any technical skills, as some of our mentors and volunteers help with supervision, teas and coffees, or can act as board members including chair and treasurer.
