We love our custom work here, but don't always get the time to do it, so its been nice to have a quiet weekend and a chance to play with a project.

This is a Tokyo Marui 1911A1, with a Guarder metal body kit, upgraded internals and is still a work in progress. We'll update as we do more, but here's a few pictures for the time being :)

So, a quiet Sunday afternoon...perfect time for a little project work!

The trigger on the ICS M3 is quite different to the real steel, angled far further forward and the trigger pull is quite long as a result.

A quick strip down of the switch / trigger assembly, shim the trigger for a shorter pull, a few other tweaks & adjustments and the trigger is far more responsive (and much closer in appearance to the original)

Next is changing the profile of the trigger guard, improved slightly, but ran into a couple of points, so not a 5 minute fix, but that's a job for next time :)

We do enjoy a bit of customising from time to time, and picked up an ICS M3 Greasegun recently. Over the next few weeks we'll publish updates as we convert it over to the suppressed version (which was technically an M3A1, but what the hell :) ) and make internal upgrades and some other custom work to it too.

Sometimes problems can be a little out of the ordinary - in this case the trigger contact stop had snapped off the gearb...

Sometimes problems can be a little out of the ordinary - in this case the trigger contact stop had snapped off the gearbox casing, meaning the contact went past the trigger and the gun stopped working.

Rather than a new casing, we drilled a hole, bonded in a screw, tidied everything up and rebuilt. Job done, saving the cost of a new gearbox :)

While in there, we cleaned and serviced the gearbox too, at no additional cost.

Gearbox shimmed and ready for rebuilding - we always reshim to this standard - minimal resistance and play to maximise fire rate and battery life :)
