📡 Czechia’s tallest structures have been demolished!

The two 355-metre-high radio transmitter towers in Liblice, Central Bohemia, came down on Thursday after nearly 50 years as the country’s tallest structures. They were also the tallest towers in the world used for medium-wave broadcasting.

First saw these guys when Ray Dicker brought them to play Bray - their one and only ever Gig in Bray.
Sound was Mixed by Neat Guy - Joe O'Herlihy.
The PA System ( Martin Audio Ltd ) was hired in from Dublin Band 'Stepaside' - delivered & set up by the late Paul Ashford with Brennie Bonass.
To be fair, they still make a 'Beautiful Noise'
U2
eh...

This is a very intetesting development.
In the Irish Market, there are very few actual 'Gigs' - Shows are either massive with attendance in the thousands/tens of thousands, or it's two lads in a Bar playing the ''who's louder'' game, blaring mad volume at an audience that roars conversation at each other.
That couple of hundred to 1000 Audience attendance was a very important market for us.
Unfortunately, there's very few Hotel 'Function Rooms' anymore, and 'Municipal Theatres' now host Music events, which is a strange & sterile experience - squished into a seat, in the dark, with absolutely no 'vibe'
The few exceptions would include Plug Artists operations in the likes of The Purty Kitchen - where everyone has a decent view of the Stage.
A 350-800 capacity Venue could be viable and attract Mid Tier Acts.

Fancy seeing intimate live shows streamed worldwide from Battersea? 🎶

The 600-capacity venue is to host one-off shows by major recording artists and new bands.

Plasa (Professional Light + Sound Association) celebrated it's 50th with Annual Show in London.
Caught up with the Legend Chris Hewitt, CH Vintage Audio, talking Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Who, Lemmy and the late N.I. Guitarist, Wings, Grease Band, and only N.I. Man to play Woodstock, the late Henry McCullough.

Noted Norwegian Actor, and Star of Vikings TV series, Thorbjørn Harr brought Henrik Ibsen's story of Peer Gynt to life, with a powerful & unique performance.
It was a 'taster' for Kulturfestivalen 'Peer Gynt by lake Gålå' Gudbrandsdalen, Norway.
