Dtec Network Solutions are seeking a telecoms field engineer. Dtec have been working on telecoms projects for over 10 years and specialise in network rollouts, broadband installations and maintenance.

This role will initially be part time and involves the surveying, customer equipment installation, cabling and compiling reports. Travel will be required and full driver’s license is essential.

Job Description:
Configure, mount and install network equipment including routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points and moreat customer sites

Terminate and test broadband cabling and connections

Perform site surveys

Service and replace faulty equipment

Complete detailed handover documentation

Measuring and reporting on mobile coverage signal levels

Skills Required:
Knowledge of common CPE/ network equipment and basic configuration

Experience of troubleshooting and diagnosing faults on this equipment

Ability to work on own initiative with excellent attention to detail

Knowledge of DSL/Ethernet/Coax cabling and connectors

An aptitude for customer service

Proficient at English, written & spoken

Cisco networking qualification a distinct advantage
