“This is a truly remarkable power amp. Whether you run it from a streamer/preamp or a purist analogue preamp, the Perca sets the bar very high for rivals at much higher prices, combining incredible clarity and massive real-world speaker-driving power. Compact, stylish and cool running, it could just be that audiophile dream – all the power amp you’ll ever need, and a serious high-end bargain.”

dCS

“What would you play first if you had the dCS Varèse plugged into your system? It had to be Chicago’s ‘A Hit by Varèse’ from Chicago V… 3 seconds into that Chicago track, this was well beyond anything I’ve heard from digital.

The next day, after playing nonstop for 24 hours, it opened up quite a bit more. It hasn’t been powered down since that day…”

Jeff Dorgay Jeff Dorgay spent six months getting to know Varèse in his high-end home system in Oregon USA.

“The explosiveness of the horns on a cut I’ve been listening to for decades, honestly, tells me everything I need to know instantly…this was going to be a wild ride indeed. Six months later, it still is.

Every single time I listen to the Varèse, I’m as excited about it as I was in the first 15 seconds I heard it. That’s kinda rare.” – Jeff Dorgay, Tone Audio

Mola Mola

SMALL SIZED AND VERSATILE

The Mola Mola Perca is a stereo power amplifier in our well-known half size chassis. Capable of delivering 150 Watts into an 8 Ohm load and doubling down to 300 Watts into 4 Ohm, it will drive any loudspeaker with ease, refinement, and clarity.

The ultra-low distortion class A input stages are implemented on a separate board, together with their own high performance voltage regulation. Taking the NCORE® technology from our mother company Hypex Electronics as a reference point we set out to refine our Class D, self-oscillating principle and feedback concept, resulting in our proprietary Mola Mola Trajectum platform which is also applied in the Mola Mola Kula integrated amplifier.

To cater to a wider range of applications a new gain selection feature is added which enables switching between 22dB and 28dB. The Mola Mola Perca features selectable balanced and single ended inputs, Furutech binding posts, and an on/off trigger connector

MBL 101 X-Treme MKIII Radialstrahler System

The crown jewel of MBL’s legendary product line, the 101 X-Treme MKIII system never fails to astonish—in both looks and sound. Our flagship transducer is comprised of two six-foot-tall towers, each housing a pair of MBL’s iconic Radialstrahler omni systems, flanked by another pair of six-foot subwoofer towers to create an extraordinary four-tower system.
Beyond their aural purity and objet d’art presence, each Radialstrahler tower features a pair of MBL’s proprietary high-, mid-, and low-frequency spherical drivers that capture the unmistakable MBL audio signature. Purposefully configured in a stunning vertical mirror array, the 101 X-Treme distributes sound effortlessly to every corner of your listening space. Meticulously handcrafted from carbon fibre, copper, aluminum, and magnesium, the revolutionary mirror array projects music farther without increasing the volume.

Innuos
innuos “STREAM3 makes a highly convincing case for itself by performing at a very high level precisely as a streaming DAC. The combination of handsome industrial design, brilliant UI and sonics refined enough to leave cravings for something else at the door already makes it a very appealing proposition for those drawn to the idea of a one-box digital front end. Its modular architecture only strengthens that appeal by making the platform genuinely future-proof.”

Our thanks to Hi-Fi Knights and Dawid Grzyb for their review of the STREAM3 Music Streamer and Server with PhoenixDAC.
