This past Saturday, we held our annual team-building event!😎

Our Counter-Strike players had a bit of an advantage during laser tag, while the braver members of the team took on the challenge of the high ropes course at the adventure park.

Over a delicious lunch, thanks to Hódosi Gergely, we also learned just how serious the dilemma can be when it comes to deciding how many heads an AI-powered robot should have. 🤖

A big thank you to our colleagues Nóra Gaál and Csikár Péter for putting together such a fun quiz, and to everyone who helped make this such a memorable and eventful day.

Every standard revision comes with the same rumor: this time it’s a big one. Get ready to rebuild.

For ISO 9001:2026, that rumor is wrong. That doesn’t mean you can update the version number on your documents and carry on as before.

🩸 Patient care does not take a summer break. Blood donation cannot either.

The Hungarian National Blood Transfusion Service (Országos Vérellátó Szolgálat) and the Hungarian Red Cross (Magyar Vöröskereszt) are asking everyone who is able to donate blood in the coming days. Donor numbers have fallen significantly across Hungary in recent weeks, putting the security of the national blood supply at risk.

Hungary needs 1,600–1,800 blood donors every day to keep patient care running safely. Current numbers are below that level, and every single donation matters.

At BrightHills Kft., we have spent more than two decades working with software that supports blood and transfusion management. We know how much coordination, expertise and responsibility it takes to keep these critical services running. But none of it is possible without donors.

If you are healthy, between 18 and 65 years old, weigh at least 50 kg and are eligible to donate, please consider giving one hour of your time. That hour can provide life-saving help to someone who needs it.

🩸 A legacy system running software across hundreds of hospitals isn't a place for a fresh rewrite. It's a place for careful, continuous evolution.

We began working with this client 20 years ago. Their , used at institutions including Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, and Cleveland Clinic, needed a serious technical upgrade. A previous rewrite attempt had failed, adding technical debt instead of removing it.

Our approach was different: stabilize first, modernize in place. We supported the migration from Delphi to .NET, rebuilt missing features, and kept the system audit-ready with every release. Every change had to be traceable back to product requirements. Every release had to hold up to FDA scrutiny.

The result: the latest version received in just 90 days, and the system is still running reliably in hundreds of hospitals today, 20 years into our collaboration.

This is what actually looks like in a regulated environment—not a headline moment, but consistent, disciplined work that keeps a life-critical system safe.
