Hello, I'm honestly not sure where to start writing...
It all began back in 2003 when a group of friends started playing Call of Duty 1 multiplayer. It wasn't until the release of Call of Duty 2 that we discovered the true charm of online competition and founded our first clan. We all could hardly wait for school to finish so we could gather in the evenings to compete and climb the leaderboard. At that time, the strongest (and best) platform for online competitions was ClanBase, which I still believe to be the best thing that ever existed. It was a community where everyone knew each other. Everyone was much closer, and it all felt like one big family. Most matches were arranged through the mIRC client or the now-defunct X-fire client. Back then, everything was very different (better) in online competitions, where skill was valued over pay-to-win grind. The entire ClanBase community was run by the players themselves, who put in great effort to ensure everything ran perfectly and flawlessly.
Unfortunately, ClanBase closed its doors on December 21, 2013. What happened to ClanBase doesn't matter anymore.
Driven by nostalgia, a group of three friends tried to revive the competition system based on ClanBase. We didn't just try to copy ClanBase but also adapted to the new challenges brought by the new generation of online games. Each of us contributed to the development of this platform as much as we could spare our free time. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to push many ideas through to the end. As we are now in our mid-thirties, we have slowly begun to drift apart due to family, work, loss of interest, or lack of free time.
I want to inform you that from today, I will continue this story alone. I have some goals that I have set for myself in 2024, and I hope to achieve them. I will inform you about everything later next month.
Thank you all for your support, ideas, and suggestions that helped create this platform, and I hope we will continue to collaborate as before. Our goal has never been to make a profit but to give people the chance to create their own communities based on our platform. Unfortunately, sometimes we were unable to meet all demands because as we built and upgraded the script, maintenance became exponentially more complex.
I hope we will all soon have the opportunity to try out the new version of the platform!
