Understanding of usability/accessibility

The Global Trends Data (https://www.unhcr.org/refugee-statistics/) and the Refugee Data app available on Android (https://hxs.to/refugee-android) and iOS (https://hxs.to/refugee-ios).

I am proud to see this suite of internal and public facing applications grow and evolve over time, and the work on them has been rewarding. Kudos to all my colleges at Hexis - Software Development that were involved in updates, development and support of this applications!

The platforms we’ve created combine statistics gathered over the course of 70 years, where the numbers show the impact war, poverty and famine have on human beings. For example, the data revealed an all-time high number of more than 100 million people forcibly displaced as a result of Human rights violations, conflicts, and violence to date.

Working on such projects alongside UNHCR gives us the opportunity to raise awareness about the impact human rights violations and atrocities have on us, and encourage world leaders to take the necessary steps to create a better world for the generations to come.
