Nikoyo has been putting her effort in the development of computer business in both Hong Kong and China. In accordance with the needs of the development brought by the reform and opening up progress in China for the past over 20 years, Nikoyo has successively set up Nikoyo (China) Electronic Systems Co., Ltd. (Former Nikoyo (Beijing) Electronics Systems Co. Limited) in 1995 and Nikoyo Electronics S
ystems (Shenzhen) Co. The above four subsidiaries have become wholly-owned companies of Nikoyo (Holdings) Limited with a total number of over 1000 employees presently. Besides, there are more than 100 service depots in 40 main cities throughout China already established on a basis of high-end technology system. Nikoyo has been exclusively assigned as Fujitsu’s authorized distributor to handle business of Fujitsu’s full range of computer peripherals since 1986. Both Nikoyo and Fujitsu Japan have been maintaining a close relationship of cooperation. Being partners with Fujitsu Japan as foreign investors, Nikoyo set up a joint venture “Nanjing Fujitsu Computer Products Co. Ltd.” in 1994, making domestic production of dot-matrix printers. So far Nikoyo has still been the largest provider of Fujitsu IT products, especially for high-speed scanners. Up to now, we have gained almost 50% share of the overall imaging market in China for Fujitsu’s scanners. Moreover, Nikoyo has become the main distributor of those peripherals of world famous brands including hard disk drives of Western Digital and Toshiba and high-speed line and laser printers of Ricoh. In 1992, Nikoyo began to set her foot in the territory of storage system integration, being the pioneer enterprise to initially launch the products of globally recognized IT famous brands for China and Hong Kong users. The fact that launching U.S. EMC, NetApp, StorageTek (StorageTek has been merged into Oracle. Nikoyo has gained the first prize of global sales for three consecutive years between 2002 and 2004) in 1994, 1996 and 1997 respectively can witness Nikoyo’s success in acting as the first market-player in the development of storage market in China. Simultaneously, Nikoyo has introduced HDS, Symantec, Quantum and other branded products and technologies, and self-service banking equipment of Siemens and Hitachi to China users in meeting with their gradual needs.
