Power semiconductors and analog ICs are seeing their most intense wave of price hikes and lead time extensions in years.

Recent market updates:
🔸 Renesas announced a price adjustment effective January 1, 2027. The company had also issued a price increase notice in March this year, effective July 1.
🔸 Domestically, China Resources Microelectronics raised full-category prices by 15%+ effective July 1; Silan Micro also adjusted to 15%+ the same day; Yangjie Technology raised all series by 10-15%; StarPower raised IGBT and SiC MOSFET modules by 15%+. Taiwanese makers plan another 10-15% spot price hike in October.
🔸 Mainstream power semiconductor lead times have generally extended to 30+ weeks, with some scarce models reaching 52 weeks.
🔸 In analog ICs, Texas Instruments issued its third price increase notice of the year on September 1 (the fifth in just over 12 months). AI server power ICs rose 15-25%, with lead times extending to 40+ weeks.
🔸 ADI implemented its second full-category price adjustment of the year effective September 13, with some products rising up to 30%. The trigger: surging demand from AI servers, new energy vehicles, and industrial automation driving orders for signal chain and power management analog ICs.

The memory market is diverging, but the main storyline of shortage remains unchanged.

Recent market updates:
🔸 DDR5 16Gb spot price has risen to $54**, up **85%** year-to-date, a record high. DDR4 16Gb spot price is quoted at **$91, showing a rare inversion.
🔸 Bank of America expects DRAM and NAND spot prices to rise another 10–20% in September.
🔸 Samsung Electronics' Q1 2027 memory quotes to Apple: DRAM near $2.0/Gb**, NAND near **$0.33/Gb, up 30–40% from Q3 this year. Even Apple has to accept the price increases.
🔸 However, NAND shows divergence: 512Gb TLC wafer spot price fell 2.71% this week, eMMC 64GB dropped 1.58%, reflecting weak consumer purchasing momentum.
