我們很榮幸獲黃夏柏先生在其新作《香港戲院志：影業、明星、放映史》中記錄大象行的故事，收錄了關於大象行的章節內容，亦有對我們團隊的專訪回顧，串連多年來在本地戲院所見的放映機裝置、維修保養與技術演進。
全書從香港戲院出發，梳理香港影業自戰前萌芽、八十年代鼎盛時期，以至千禧年後轉型與掙扎求存的歷程，內容涵蓋院線發展、明星文化、放映技術、戲院空間，以及社會變遷下的觀影文化。
黃夏柏先生特別專訪服務戲院逾半世紀的業界老字號，包括大象行，透過業界人士的親身經歷，回望香港戲院背後的聲與光及技術傳承。
適逢大象行於2026年迎來成立八十周年，我們很感謝能夠成為這段香港戲院歷史記錄的一部分。

We are honoured to be featured in Mr. Wong Ha Pak (黃夏柏先生)’s new book, ‘A Chronicle of Hong Kong Movie Theatres: The Film Industry, the Stars and Screening History’. The chapter on Elephant’s work in cinema projectors features an interview with our team, connecting projector installation, their maintenance, and technological evolution over decades across local cinemas.
The book traces the development of Hong Kong’s film industry from its emergence before World War II, to its golden age in the 1980s, later transformation and challenges after the 2000s. Framing its narrative from the perspective of movie theatres, the book explores cinema chains, movie stars, projection technology, cinema spaces, and the social changes behind Hong Kong’s movie-going culture.
Mr. Wong made a point of interviewing industry veterans including Elephant that have served for over half a century. Through the personal experiences of these industry insiders, the book looks back on the magic of sight and sound behind Hong Kong's cinema and the continuation of the industry's technological lineage."
As Elephant celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2026, we are grateful to be part of this meaningful record of Hong Kong cinema heritage.
