DKIM（DomainKeys Identified Mail）係一種電子郵件驗證方法，用嚟確保電子郵件嘅完整性同真實性。佢喺郵件標頭度加入數碼簽名，讓收件方嘅郵件伺服器可以驗證郵件係喺傳送過程中冇被修改，同埋確認郵件係由合法發送者所發出。

DKIM嘅重要性體現喺佢可以對抗電子郵件詐騙同確保郵件嘅可信度。以下係幾個關鍵原因，解釋緊點解DKIM重要：

郵件完整性：DKIM防止郵件喺傳送過程中遭到篡改或修改。透過喺郵件標頭度加入數碼簽名，DKIM可以讓收件方驗證郵件係冇被改動過。

發送者驗證：DKIM提供咗一種方式去驗證發送域名，令收件方可以確認郵件係嚟自聲稱嘅域名發出。呢個有助於防止電子郵件偽造，即惡意人士偽造發送者地址以欺騙收件者。

Sender Authentication: DKIM provides a means to authenticate the sending domain, allowing email recipients to verify that the email was actually sent by the claimed domain. This helps prevent email spoofing, where malicious actors forge the sender's address to deceive recipients.

Reputation and Deliverability: Implementing DKIM helps establish a domain's reputation as a legitimate sender of email. Email service providers and spam filters often use DKIM signatures as a factor in determining whether to deliver emails to the recipient's inbox or mark them as spam. A good reputation built through DKIM can improve email deliverability rates.

Domain Protection: DKIM helps protect a domain's reputation by preventing unauthorized parties from sending emails on behalf of the domain. By verifying the domain's signature, recipients can be confident that the email originated from an authorized sender associated with that domain.

The actual usage of DKIM involves the following steps:

Configuration: The domain owner generates a unique pair of cryptographic keys—a private key and a public key. The private key remains with the domain owner, while the public key is published in the domain's DNS (Domain Name System) records.

Signing: When an email is sent, the sender's email server signs the email headers using the private key. This creates a digital signature that is unique to that specific email message.

DNS Publishing: The sender publishes the public key in their domain's DNS records as a TXT record. This allows the recipient's email server to retrieve the public key when verifying the email's signature.

Verification: When the recipient's email server receives an email, it retrieves the public key from the sender's DNS records and uses it to decrypt the signature. If the decrypted signature matches the email's headers, the email is considered authentic and unaltered.

By implementing DKIM, organizations can enhance the security of their email communications, protect their domain's reputation, and improve the chances of their emails reaching the recipients' inboxes rather than being flagged as spam.
