New release of ConnectMe Customer has been on live such that ConnectMe Agent service staff is able to control remote Customer PC desktop even at Windows Logon Screen, Lock Screen or User Account Control (UAC) prompts. In order to have such full admin privileges on ConnectMe Customer, it must be downloaded from our website below instead of Microsoft Store. Microsoft impose restrictions on app not to perform administration tasks on the ConnectMe Customer PC. Please refer to below how to download ConnectMe Customer from 2connectme.com website.

We have new type of Forever Free account, Solo User. The account type "Solo User" is only for a single user. It is a simplified "Company" account and with pre-configured settings on chat rooms. It is recommeded for the first time user who wants quickly to enjoy our service. Solo User account could start provision of online service and collect service fees immediately without further setup. Enhanced Integration with WordPress
Tight integration with WordPress. At the beginning of WordPress installation, users will be asked to register an new account. The Chat Room and corresponding URLs will be imported to WordPress local website. We rolled out new release to production yesterday with the following enhancements.

1. New Manual Payment Request Type: Physical Goods / Commodities
In Manual Payment Request, besides the existing “Online Service Provision” payment type, a new payment type “Physical Goods / Commodities” to collect payment for “Physical Goods / Commodities” sold is added to this release. Therefore, agent is able to collect payment for online service as well as some goods products sold online.

2. WhatsApp agent
With Mobile Agent App in Apple App Store and Android Play Store, agents can work remotely and serve customer chat 24 hours at their convenience. In this release, 2ConnectMe starts to support 3rd party app, WhatsApp, as an mobile agent app. It is NO longer a must for agents to install 2ConnectMe mobile app to serve the customer chat. Instead, any agent can serve customer chat through WhatsApp on his own mobile device.

3. Enhancements of WordPress Plugin (v1.5.1)
The WordPress plugin was to incorporate the WhatsApp agent and simplify the user interface of admin page.

New Release Updated (October 2020)
Since this release involves update on Customer Client Chat program, i.e. sticky floating chat icon on your website, please ensure the browser ‘cached image and files’ is cleared so that Customer Client Chat program can be updated automatically.

For those users who are using Manual Payment Request to collect payment from customers on the fly, from this release onwards, please be reminded that you have to further enable this Manual Payment Request in the Chat Room settings.

The main enhancements of this release are

- new Automatic Charges function empowers your agent to charge customer according to the actual chat duration AUTOMATICALLY with seeking customer credit card pre-authorisation.

- new Private Chat Room URL where customer will only be connected to an specified agent.

- Email Alert to inform customer when agent is online again.
- Email Alert to inform system administrator whenever an agent edits his Private Profile.

- Chat Distribution advance setup lets you decide how the customer chats is connected to an agent to fit your business needs.

- Changes in Pricing
** 2ConnectMe service charges of InApp payment revised to 4% of revenue from physical goods or Commodities and 10% of revenue from those online service provision which includes, but not limited to, online consultation, education tutorial, training etc.
** The default is "Online Service Provision" which will take 10% of revenue of InApp Payment as service charges. If you use our InApp payment for physical goods, please write us at [email protected] to apply for it.

- Email Alert or Any Emails sent to customer will be counted as a usage of Company Entitlements (500) which are shared among all the agents.

Enhancements
- New function RESTRICT USER and DELETE MESSAGE is to block the customer from send further message and delete the message received.

Improve Signalling between Agent and Customer
- Customer is automatically reconnected to the same agent even customer jumps to other pages of your website.
- Even under unstable mobile network, agent and customer can be reconnected automatically once they are both online.

The current release of iOS App, Business Secure Live Chat Room, in Apple App Store is outdated.

We have been negotiating with Apple App Review team for more than 2 months. We are still addressing their comments.

Therefore, you may find issues in the current release of iOS App for the time being. We hope Apple will approve our updated release very soon.

iOS App alternatives (WebApp)
Instead of installing App from Apple App Store, the iOS users may install the WebApp of 2ConnectMe by themselves directly.

How to install WebApp @ iOS
- Using iOS Safari, just go to the logon screen, i.e. https://2connectme.com/agentLogon.html,
- Click the “Add To Home” button.
- Please refer to the figures below.

Our WebApp@iOS will start to support Video and Voice chat as well in iOS 13.4. According to information from Apple, iOS 13.4 will be launched in March 2020. This is just a few weeks from now.

You will find the most of advance functions available EXCEPT the notification of new chats. New Chat notification is only supported in the App, i.e. Business Secure Live Chat Room, from Apple App Store.
