滙控宣佈將於今年下半年在新加坡設立全新的人工智能卓越中心，並計劃在全球範圍內招募超過100名人工智能專家，旨在開發並擴展可應用於其全球網絡的人工智能技術能力。

根據計劃，這批新聘請的人工智能專家將會與滙豐首席人工智能官David Rice，以及財富管理和全球支付解決方案等領域的團隊緊密合作。中心初期將專注於自然語言處理、數據科學、人工智能治理及以人為本的設計等專業領域，重點研究項目包括個性化客戶財富管理對話、代理式財資解決方案，以及擴大支持人工智能的數碼支付服務。

滙控行政總裁艾橋智表示，新加坡人工智能中心的成立將推動集團在全球的人工智能願景，賦予員工更強的能力去運用人工智能技術。他強調，這將為每位客戶創造個人化的服務體驗，並能以安全、即時及具規模的方式提供服務，同時集團會始終將人類的判斷、決策過程與責任感置於核心地位。
