Literal logos can be great but they come with the cons of being boring, not memorable enough or they can look like every other logo out there.

How many brands do you know have a pink turtle as their logo?

Your logo can really be anything, just as long as it meets the criteria for an effective logo design and is successful at representing your brand.

It’s that simple, I just like turtles.

It is true that these are some of the traits that I want my brand to represent but these are not the reason why my logo is a turtle.

Sometimes we read too much into the significance behind our own and other people’s design ideas but in some cases, like this one, it’s not that deep.

It’s most important for your logo to meet these key criteria and function effectively as a logo design.
Good design is not good if it fails to function effectively.

This is Taiga, the turtoise that is the inspiration of my brand’s logo!

Sometimes we get it right the first time; other times the process is a meander. Not every logo will reflect the vision of the brand it’s designed for and that’s a normal part of the process.

We often see the final, refined and approved designs but never the rejected designs that helped us to get to the final result.

Rejected logos are a stepping stone to getting to where we want to be because they help us to figure out where we don’t want to be.

It’s all a part of the design process😌
