💼 The TEAM (Telemedicine Education Advancement through Microcredentials) project had a productive Transnational Project Meeting yesterday in Brussels, hosted by Ihf Asbl Bruxelles.

BioAssist presented the latest version of one of the key outcomes of the project, the Telemedicine Digital Warehouse. We provided a detailed overview of its features and functionalities, sparking a valuable discussion on how to enhance it further.

The collaborative spirit among our partners is inspiring, and we are excited to continue pushing the boundaries of telemedicine! 🚀

🎯TOPIC No.1
Getting cities healthy: Education of citizens about NBS, participatory processes in design and monitoring of NBS by Anja Ranđelović, Maja Stošić and Aleksandra Malušev.

🔴Anja Ranđelović (University of Belgrade, Faculty of Civil Engineering) works as an assistant professor at the Department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade. She is interested in integrated water management in cities, nature-inspired solutions, sustainable development, public health, and innovative approaches in planning and building urban environments with active citizen participation.
🔴Maja Stošić (Institute for Public Health of Serbia "Dr Milan Jovanović Batut"), is a medical doctor, specialist in epidemiology. She obtained a master's degree in the field of health management and a doctoral degree in the field of public health. She is a Tuberculosis (TB) Program Coordinator for Serbia, a member of the Government Committee of the Republic of Serbia for HIV/AIDS and TB, and a WHO/ECDC focal point for TB Surveillance.
🔴Aleksandra Malušev (Mikser Association, Belgrade) is a communication and community engagement expert with a strong background in journalism and political sciences from the Faculty of Political Sciences at Belgrade University. She has a keen interest in societal dimension of environmental issues and has developed her communication expertise in disseminating good practices in sustainable development and supporting processes of citizens participation. Currently, Aleksandra serves as the Communications Officer for both Mikser and the euPOLIS project, focusing on engaging stakeholders, disseminating innovative urban planning technologies, and promoting citizens' health and well-being.

The right to a healthy city: Lessons learned from the implementation of Nature-Based Solutions, by Mikołaj Biesaga

🔴Mikołaj Biesaga (Robert Zajonc Institute for Social Studies, University of Warsaw) is a social psychologist and a Ph.D. student at The Robert Zajonc Institute for Social Studies, University of Warsaw, a member of the Center for Complex Systems and Civil City Lab. In his Ph.D. thesis, he investigates situational and cognitive determinants of the ability to produce random series. However, his scientific interests are much wider and spread from classical research on social influence through the dynamic of social interactions to natural language processing. Recently, he has been involved in interdisciplinary projects on complex coordination in social interactions, social influence, mechanisms that shape social media and their impact on society, and human-centered artificial intelligence. Currently, he works on two European projects that investigate the multi-functionality of NBS and their impact on the health and well-being of citizens: HEART and euPOLIS.

Assessing the impact and sustainability of NBS using an Urban Water Metabolism Approach – The case of the euPOLIS Łódź demonstration site, by Sandra Baki

🔴Sandra Baki (School of Civil Engineering, National Technical University of Athens) is a Civil Engineer with many years of professional experience in both research and consultation; she works as a senior research associate at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Her current work focuses on the investigation of Nature-based Solutions (NBS), mainly focusing on water-related aspects, the implementation of decentralized and innovative water technologies (greywater recycling, rainwater harvesting, etc.), the analysis of water-energy interactions, and hydroinformatics.

Public participation in the design of public spaces for urban investment: practitioner insights, by Aleksandra M. Trzcińska

🔴Aleksandra M. Trzcińska (Revitalisation Bureau, The City of Lodz Office) holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a Master's degree in Political Science. Since October 2015 she has been professionally involved with the local authorities of Lodz, and since March 2017 she has been a chief specialist in the Revitalisation Bureau of the City of Lodz Office, where she is primarily engaged in revitalization processes and the coordination of national and international projects, including the Urban-Regeneration-Mix Project (from the Urbact II Programme) in the years 2020-2021, and the euPOLIS Project (from the Horizon 2020 Programme) from 2022 until now.

🎯Besides the update and the upskilling course by our experts on how to use and what technological solutions can a wide range of experts and decision-makers rely on while on the journey of introducing the NBS into their city’s core, we will tap into the basics of building a strong pull of the citizens, interested, engaged and committed to making their cities better through participating in the NBS project from the beginning and all the way through after the implementation.
