The book Spasmata received an award at this year’s EBGE Awards 2026 in the category “Self-Published – Experimental Illustration,” as well as a merit in the “Book Cover Design” category.

Expert from the comments published in the EBGE 2026 Awards Edition, featuring the awarded works of this year’s EBGE Awards:

“One of the greatest virtues of this publication is the uncertainty surrounding it — the reader is never entirely sure what they are holding in their hands. Although this is usually considered a strategic flaw, the depth and quality of this particular experiment define and claim a category of their own. The cover, restricted to shades of black, white, and grey, immediately draws attention through the intimacy of the close-up — a mysterious set of teeth (:), the tactility of its materials — heavy, matte paper and varnish — and the complete absence of typography. And while the exterior suggests that opening the book means stepping into the uncharted waters of a strange adventure, the interior does not disappoint. Its pages are filled with morphologies and bio-synthetic forms paired with texts resembling fragments of an obscure genetic philosophy or manifesto, with neither obvious beginning nor end, as though they belong to other worlds or frequencies. Evoking a contemporary Codex Seraphinianus, this enigmatic catalogue unfolds variations on a purely visual theme which, as the creators themselves suggest, functions like an attempt to illustrate the remnants of a failed language translator.”

Η συσκευασία του Pumpthenon Squish! είναι υποψήφια για βράβευση στα φετινά ΕΒΓΕ, στην κατηγορία Γενική Συσκευασίας.

Η τελετή απονομής θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 16 Μαΐου στη Στέγη του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση.
