This was the most challenging . There are facts for the coil too:

The more wire meaning more loops the more volts you get.

The bigger the wire gives more amper.

As soon as we go for 3 phase alternator with 4:3 ratio the nomber of coils must be divided by the number 3.

With 12 magnets we will have 9 coils for the same reason as above.

The nine coils must fit inside my stator.

The led of the coil must be smaller than the magnet.

The coil legs must be above 2 magnets at the same time to produce.

The inside diameter of the coil must be equal to the magnet.

THIS IS MY FINAL DESIGN FOR THE COIL!

22mm inner diameter.

61mm outer diameter .

arround 280 turns on a 0.72mm wire (21AWG)....

it weights arround 160grams so arround 1.5kgr will be used for the stator!

I am so happy cause i spend months of designing , spooling and testing those coils.... With this coil i will get 8vp-p per coil on very low rpm (this was my goal). considering that will be 3 coils in series i will have 24 vp-p per phase! Next step to test a stator for those coils....

Choosing the dimensions for the stator and the generator

A generator consists of the stator that holds the coils and the rotor that holds the magnets.

Before I start the project I have some things in mind.

-I wanted to be 3d printed.

-I had a bambu x1c printer that has 255x255 build plate.

-The rotor must spin above the stator.

-The stator will be actual the main case of the generator .

-The stator would be 3d printed also and must fit my printer.

So I decided that the stator would be 250mm diameter and that's the beginning of the project.

Since I found the dimension for my stator the story began.

Many tests with various rotors will come.

Many tests with various coils to magnets ratio.

Many Wire coil diameters.

Many Different dimensions of coils....

Hi there and sorry for the long abuse.
I found some time to continue from where i stopped before summer holidays and all the for living projects i had.

I will try to organize the things with collections and a more user friendly page to hold the whole project now that we are in the final round.

First set of measurements gone really well and as expected.

DC output on the multimeter and ac phase output from oscilloscope side by side measurements.

Having the desired volts from really low rpm.

The stator and rotor are ready.
The design I ended up is after a lot of trials.
A lot of various coil designs also.

The coils are connected in star. I attached a bridge and a capacitor so to measure the output of my generator.

Remeber 12 magnets for 9 coils in 4:3 formation.

Everything is ready... Only a cap to enclose the generator and hold the shaft with a radial bearings on top .
