Today, 15 October 2026, Laskaroula Argyriou from PRIVACT attended the AI4Debunk workshop “Deconstructing Deception – Evaluating AI Tools for Democratic Resilience and Education”, held at the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki.

The event brought together researchers, media professionals, educators, cybersecurity experts and project representatives to discuss current challenges around disinformation, critical thinking and the role of Artificial Intelligence in strengthening resilience against misleading content.

Participants also had the opportunity to explore and test technologies developed within AI4Debunk, including the VR Game and Mobile Application.

The workshop offered a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange, hands-on testing and discussion around the practical use of digital tools for identifying and addressing disinformation.

🔐 Call for Participants: CYBERSKILLS Cybersecurity Training for Young People (age: 18-30)

Europe faces a growing cybersecurity skills gap, and young people have a key role to play in closing it.
CYBERSKILLS is an Erasmus+ project that strengthens the cybersecurity skills of young people aged 18-30. Its training programme combines e-learning, gamification and practical training.
The project aims to train at least 300 young people, with a particular focus on participants from regional areas and those with fewer opportunities.

PRIVACT is now looking for 100 participants to join the training, which is scheduled for February 2027.

The training will be delivered through a Moodle-based e-learning platform and a serious game, both developed by PRIVACT. The project partners are currently preparing the training content, and PRIVACT is leading platform development, testing and feedback collection.

🎣 Would your team recognise a phishing attack?

At PRIVACT, we’re working on CyberCoRe, a project focused on helping organisations defend against phishing.

Through simulations and hands-on exercises, CyberCoRe trains administrators and users to recognise when they’re under attack, whether that’s a suspicious email, spam, or passwords at risk.

The project will also produce user manuals and playbooks that help teams respond to threats and share information with administrators in other countries. 🌍

🎯 CyberCoRe: Building the Training Behind Joint Cybersecurity Exercises

Cyber incidents are rarely handled by one person alone. An effective response depends on people who can recognise threats early and act together in a coordinated way.

In the CyberCoRe project, PRIVACT has started developing the training material for the Joint Cybersecurity Exercises. The material will be delivered to users through the LearnWorlds platform, and PRIVACT is responsible for producing the content.

The material currently in development focuses on phishing and social engineering attacks, which remain among the most common entry points for cyberattacks. Through this training, participants will learn to:

🔹 Recognise phishing and social engineering threats 🔹 Respond correctly and in a coordinated way 🔹

Apply their knowledge to realistic incident scenarios
The Joint Exercises are scenario-based and include phishing and social engineering campaigns, incident handling and coordinated response. This connects learning directly to the kinds of real-world cyber threats organisations face every day.

🛡️ Tailored Cybersecurity Training for NIS2 Entities: COMPaaS-EU Training Underway

No two organisations face the same cybersecurity challenges, and no two employees have the same responsibilities. That principle drives the training now taking place in the COMPaaS-EU project.
Project partners are currently training through the Moodle platform and training material developed by PRIVACT. The programme is structured around four key modules:
